RHYTHM - TESSELLATION

Image
Rhythm  - Rhythm- is a principle of design that suggests movement or action. Rhythm is usually achieved through repetition of lines, shapes, colors, and more. It refers to relationship between elements to create harmony. Tessellation- A tiling or tessellation of a flat surface is the covering of a plane using one or more geometric shapes, called tiles, with no overlaps and no gaps. In mathematics, tessellations can be generalized to higher dimensions and a variety of geometries.  Assignment - The assignment is based on creation of Tessellation by using mnemonic shapes. Process- - T he first step was take to a inspiration . I had taken inspiration from  American cartoon  Young Justice. There is a character  Conner Kent .  - In photoshop by using using  pen tool I had made the the silhouette.  - The pattern I have arranged is according to rectangular grid . This is the final pattern.

FASHION ENIGMA

Image
The problem is Fashion .Fashion has armor to survive the reality of  environment .The fashion industry is giving  a disastrous impact on the environment. In fact, it is the second largest polluter in the world. PROBLEMS WE ARE FACING ! FAST FASHION BRANDS  Fast fashion brand such as Zara ,H&M & PRIMEMARK makes shopping east and affordable. Every week or Every day a new trend is coming which is making huge waste of textile. Cheap and trends clothes creates a huge disaster. FIBERS Both Natural Fibre and Synthetic fibre harms water .Natural  fibre such as cotton fiber take intensive of water to cultivate and process. Where Synthetic fibre doesn't break down in water. Synthetic fibres such as nylon, polyester, acrylic use twice the energy such as fossil fuel .  The  textile industry waste such as toxic substances, chemical dying   is dumped in rivers, streams, ditches etc. PLASTIC ABANDONED NET  The Plastic, abandoned net are ma...

UNIVERSAL REMEDY

Image
From my last blog you might have understand how the fashion industry is effecting our environment and us. In the blog I have came with solutions .I believe there are solutions and alternative to mitigate these problems. The first step lies in building awareness and willingness to change.    SOLUTIONS:- NATURAL FIBRE - Natural fibers  or  natural fibres  that are produced by plants,  animals, and geological processes  They can be used as a component of composite  materials, where the orientation of fibers impacts the properties. Choose eco friendly fibre or go for recycle fibres .Organic textile permitted process chemicals and recommendations for dyeing and finishing techniques .Organic cotton is reducing pesticide, fertilizer, and water use.  Choose Lyocell or Tencel  instead of rayon, modal or viscose. Buy less, buy better quality of clothes   . Recycled polyester, often called pet, is made from recycled plastic bottle...

IS THAT WORTHY

Image
Fast fashion  is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, a global business shaped and reshaped by competition, creativity and innovation. From disruptive new technologies to more demanding clients and customers and a growing awareness of the industry’s environmental  i mpact. True cost includes the cost of negative externalities associated with goods and services. The above video is showing how fast fashion is hampering. Globally 80% fabric  is dumped or landfill only 20% is actually used or recycle or reuse.  The True Cost   has a forceful message. It argues that the fashion industry has become unsustainably harmful to people and the planet, particularly in the noxious form of fast fashion. Consumers are presented with an ever-changing array of cheap clothing made in low-wage countries with poor labor rights and working conditions. The clothing that ends up in landfills is  there for 200 years, and as it decomposes.  fa...

BALANCE

Image
The  principles of design  describe the ways that artists use the elements of art in a work of art.  Balance  is the distribution of the visual weight of objects, colors, texture, and space. If the  design  was a scale, these elements should be  balanced  to make a  design  feel stable.   SYMMETRICAL BALANCE The above composition is made by the five elements . The composition shows Symmetrical balance . It shows all areas of the image are equally divided. The  half of the composition mirrors the other half, at least half of the composition will be rather predictable.  Symmetrical balance occurs when you have two identical sides of a design with a central point of axis -- so if you cut the design in half, the left and right are mirror images of each other. To be considered perfectly symmetrical, a design needs to have equally weighted visuals on either side. ASYMMETRICAL BALANCE    This composition is Asymm...
